In pemberton on the way to windy harbour we set off on a little bush track and came across a small dam which had some yabbies, we caught some and ate it for dinner that night. I always carry vinegar with me when camping, so with the remaining ones we pickled them in vinegar and kept it in a sealed jar for the following day. We then continued our trip to windy harbour where we caught some herring, whiting and silver breme.  Windy harbour is also a great fishing location for whiting.

Caught some mighty big marron when I went fishing down south. The river had perfect living conditions for marron. Marron love nice loggy terrain and flowing water.  I spotted some nice loggy spots as I was walking along so I thought I'd use my snare and see what pops up, used a bit of red meat as bait to lure him in the marron snare, It took  2-3 hours to catch 6 for the day.
